i tried to narrow my focus down on Art Exhibition Event,  
those are some potential events i considered on week 5:

i have made my mind up and chose an event, by looking at need and prospect

Green Corner in Kallio – Finland.

Grass turf lawn was installed in a parking space creating a temporary park.
Inspirations:
  • A breakthrough symbol of relaxing break in the middle of the hectic urban space
  • Alluring art installation to raise people’s awareness of green area
  • Re-used turf
The 2009 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion- London.

 Inspirations:
  • Seamless boundary between pavilion and landscape
  • Architecture sits in landscape area, and not vice versa
Ann Demeulemeester Shop- Seoul
Architect: Mass Studies

Inspirations:
  • Living facade of plants (Pachysandra terminalis)
  • Incorporate as much nature as possible into the high-density urban environment

  • Nature inspired light installation

Points of interest:

  • Surrounded by many focal points, there is potential to explore a space to accommodate dynamic visitor (leisure space)
  • A well known meeting point
  • A high volume crisscross path, vehicles and human movements
  • Visitors tend to drop by and have a break

Leisure Activities

There is a possibility to explore a positive space for leisure activities, by looking at its distribution. Types of possible leisure activities: Art exhibition, Art performances, talk events

Open and Green Space

Within 150m radius, there is a tendency of a possibility to create a greenery space in the midst of a high density urban site. Dominant adjacent land use is high density of three to four storeys height shop houses.
